Jon Reeve

Jon Reeve is co-founder & CPO of ControlTheory, an Austin-based AI-first observability startup developing practical AI for SREs. ControlTheory are the creators of the popular open source TUI Gonzo, a real-time logging and AI analysis tool.

Jon pioneered the use of AI and learning algorithms in the area of network (unicast and multicast) routing algorithms, together with British Telecommunications during his PhD. Previous to ControlTheory, he was on the founding team of StackEngine which was acquired by Oracle Cloud to develop their Kubernetes and Cloud Native services. As Senior Director of Product Management at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), he led product management of managed Kubernetes (OKE), Service Mesh, Container/Docker Registry, Functions as a service, API Gateway, Cloud Shell and CI/CD ("DevOps") services . Jon is a product leader with deep experience scaling startups and guiding products through growth and acquisitions. He specializes in infrastructure management, AI-driven platforms and developer tools, bringing a background in education and research to building products that empower technical teams.

He holds a BSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Durham (UK).
